indeed, and zabaleta was up there with chicharito as our best player. just shows that you can't play ayew on the wing when we have a back four, he doesnt do the defensive work, pablo was on his own all game.

I must be watching more games than you. I've seen games where he has been our best player on the pitch. Likewise i have seen cresswell have a few shockers. That said, i am more than happy to have them both in the squad, neither are the problem.
If you look at all 4 goals yesterday you might just notice they came from attacks down the right hand side of our defence.

have you ever actually played football? when you mark a player from a dead ball are you usually behind the player so that you can't get in front and beat him to the ball, or ahead of him, so you can?
I'm not sure what you are going on about communication, it looked to me like we were holding a zonal line, so reid should have followed the ball, not gone forward and not even bothered to jump. If they were man marking then what would he need to communicate exactly? The manager instructs who to mark in that situation.
He has not been poor in every game, saying it over and over again like a stuck record doesn't make it so. Now, mop the dribble up, I'm sure there are some windows close by that need licking.

Re: Masuaku

Reid at fault for 2nd goal is pure desperation ,if he was supposed to be marking him then why didn't he communicate with his teammate and tell Reid ? He didn't because Reid was not supposed to marking him he was .And he failed miserably.as I said he has been poor in every game for us. You fool.

Re: Masuaku

He's a young player with potential and a decent backup to Cresswell. As others have said Reid was at fault for Lukaku's second goal. No defender in the world stands behind the player they are marking. Still not sure why Ogbonna didn't cover him since he did well in battles with him. Reid had a really poor game and looked well off the pace. Masuaku does need to improve his defensive game and positioning at times but I've no problem with him in the squad.

Re: Masuaku

No, what I said was that stating that he has been poor in every game he has played for us makes you an idiot, because quite clearly he hasn't. You're also an idiot for not reading what I posted properly and for trying to move the goalposts once you've realised that you are, indeed, an idiot.
BTW Reid was at fault for the second goal, they were holding a zonal line in the box and Reid was ahead of Lukaku, he drifted forward and failed to follow the flight of the ball and jump. Not quite sure how Masuaku was supposed to be marking Lukaku when he was quite clearly holding the line behind him with Reid ahead of Lukaku.

Re: Masuaku

The point of having competition for spots is for players to raise there game. masuaku deserved to be in front of cresswell before yesterday. After yesterday i would drop him, i would also replace ogbonna with fonte and noble with rice. Cant get smashed 4 nil and expect to keep same team out!

I doubt you will find anyone else that has a brain and both eyes functioning that would agree that Masuaku has been poor in every game he has played for us. Its a ridiculous statement designed to garner attention, all you have succeeded in doing is making yourself look like a bit of an idiot. For instance, he was very good indeed at home to Everton last season, in a rather boring game truth be told, but he and the rest of the defence all played superbly to deny Everton.

Spot on both are average/poor defenders when relied upon 1 on 1 in a back 4, both get a lot more protection when we play a 3 and aren't exposed as much especially in the air.

Eerie, was the Baggies game the one where he caught the ball in the box? That was deliberate!! Bloke must have had a bet on that.

Why are you spouting this rubbish?
He was terrible away to West Brom last season, not very good yesterday, but has been very good in all the other games he has played for us.

Re: Masuaku

Creswell is the better crosser
Masuaku better at running with the ball
Neither are very good at defending.
Why aren't we playing 3 at the back still?
